INTRODUCTION

This site is dedicated to the Belgian disco/soul group and its members: Sofie Verbruggen, Fred «Bekky» Beekmans and Bob «bobott» Baelemans.

I've always wanted to create a website to pay a tribute to this Belgian trio, famous in The Benelux during the second half of the 70s.

I had the chance to collaborate with them when they asked me for some help (fanclub) and promotion in France in 1977-78. We finally met in 1978. I spent a whole day at Bob's house in Wechelderzande. I must say they are very nice people and were very pleasant to work with. Unfortunately, when things started for them in France, their contract with Phonogram was over so they decided to split up.

I think Trinity never got the success they deserved. They were extremely popular in Belgium, in The Netherlands and even in Greece and Majorca.

Fred, Bob and Sofie worked very hard and were extremely professional. But due to some problems with their producer and sometimes a lack of promotion, they were not always free to do what they wanted. This plus their defeat at the Eurosong 77 started to discourage them. So it was easy to understand why they chose not to renew their contract with Phonogram and prefered starting solo careers.

I can't understand why Phonogram never released a CD featuring all the fabulous TRINITY songs. I contacted them many years ago but they replied "There isn’t a potential because we have no request for Trinity!" I don’t think so because you are more and more to contact me. This proves that there’s a real potential. Disco music has never been so popular, so I’m convinced that a Trinity CD would be a must for many people and disco/soul music fans!!!

I had to make my own TRINITY CD and I'm very pleased with the result: 18 fabulous tracks (made from the vinyls) with a superb sound.
